Different elimination formulas
The direct-elimination round can be tuned to a specific tournament's regulations.
- no placement — a classic single-elimination bracket;
- with repechage — Engarde-style T16 and T32 variants: a loser keeps a chance through the repechage bracket;
- with full placement — extra brackets for 5th–8th, 9th–16th, etc., down to T4–T128.
The formula is chosen when the bracket is formed, and for tournaments — in advance, in the formula builder (poule rounds → cut → final bracket). The service distributes fencers across the brackets and computes the final protocol according to the chosen format.
